Two trainings in the use of the Communication Toolkit are planned in Pretoria, South Africa on 4 – 7 November and in Nairobi on 10 – 13 November.
Objective
The main objective of the trainings is to introduce the Communication Toolkit, an interactive CD-ROM developed under STAR and which contains a digitally visualised manual of how to use a number of practical ICT tools to improve communication and interaction with target groups. During the trainings participants will be trained in these tools so that they will be able to create print publications, websites, video and radio content. A tentative programme for the trainings will be available soon.
Who and where
Invitees for the training in South Africa are Hivos’ partners involved in HIV/AIDS based in Malawi, Mozambique and Namibia. For the training in Nairobi Hivos’ partners based in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania are invited.
Participants
From each organisation we would like to invite two staff members preferably involved in communication (advocacy, communications, networking and policy) who are keen to put acquired knowledge and skills into practice and who are willing to share obtained expertise with their colleagues. Furthermore, to provide female staff members an equal opportunity to participate in the trainings at least one participant per organisation should be a woman.
