One of the core objectives of the STAR programme is to implement specific ICT projects. The projects can either be implemented with one organisation or it can be implemented with a group of organisations.
So far five projects have been defined:
- Child Helpline Malawi (one organisation - Yoneco)
- SMS Bulktool (all HIV/AIDS organisations)
- HIV/AIDS Edutainment (Kenya)
- Youth Information Centre (one organisation - Aro Mozambique)
- Communication Toolkit (all HIV/AIDS organisations)
Each project is described in more detail and full documentation is made available.
SMS Bulktool
The sms bulktool project aims to utilise the fastest growing and most popular technology in African countries; the cellular technology or in this case; The Mobile Phone.
Child Helplines
ICT for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Promoting Human Rights among Young People (Malawi)
