HIV/AIDS Edutainment
THE HIV/AIDS edutainment project is focusing on using mobile phones for raising awareness on HIV/AIDS in a fun and dynamic way.
Mobile technology is widely used, popular among the younger generations who are the most vulnerable to HIV/AIDS, cheap and requires little infrastructure. Harnessing this type of technology is an innovative step forward in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
The project objective is to develop two games that can be played on the mobile phones and that contain relevant HIV/AIDS messages.
The target group are are children/adolescents between 16-25 years. The project will be piloted in Kenya.
Implementing partners
The HIV/AIDS edutainment project works closely with two partners organisations; Mobile for Good and ZMQ .
Mobile for Good isresponsible for the implementation of the project in Kenya, ZMQ is the software developer of the games.
